Fresh streetwise Hip-hop dance lessons, taught at a slow manageable pace in a relaxed atmosphere. Hip hop is a form of urban dance where we will teach you how to pop and lock and learn all the new funky moves that will improve your rhythm and co-ordination.

 

Hip hop dancing is an ideal way to express your creativeness. It features self impressions and the dances come from the soul. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. There is breaking, popping, locking and freestyle where the jumps, breakages and rotations in the moves make the dance explosive and individual. 

 

Hip hop is considered great exercise as it helps with improving flexibility, develops body balance and to coordinate the muscles.

Hip hop includes many steps and movements that are not in other formal forms of dance. Where there is a technical term for each movement in, say Ballet, this is not the case with Hip hop which allows the dancer to have more freedom whilst dancing. 

 

 

 We offer Hip hop classes for the following age groups:

  • 5-8yrs
  • 9-11yrs
  • 12-15yrs
  • 16-18yrs
  • Over 19s
  • Boys Only
