Who we are.....

 

                          Natasha Lusty (Principal)        

Natasha has been a performer all of her life -at the age of 11 showing promise, she won a scholorship for Music and Drama. Choosing to attend theatre school instead, Tasha has been formally educated in performing arts from the age 12. Tasha has won many awards and medals for performing, being placed 8th in the UK at the age of 14.   Tasha has performed in many shows throughout the UK and the USA. having been teaching for the past 6 years, she is delighted to now open Centre Stage Performing Arts Academy.   

Hayley Sandry (Ballet, Tap, Modern)

Hayley has trained at the Judith Hockaday School of Dance and Drama, in Swindon, since the age of 3, studying Ballet, Tap, Modern and National dance.

Performance experience includes: Dancing in Singing in the rain, Carousel, Mack and Mabel and Oklahoma- SALOS (Swindon Amateur Light Operatic Society) at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon.

Hayley also competed at the Grandison National Dance Finals up to the age of 16, winning duet and trio sections, and also danced at the All England Finals at the Peacock Theatre, Sadlers Wells on many occasions.

Hayley gained her Associate teaching status in 2004. She has been working as a freelance dance teacher for two years now and is currently studying to complete her FDI and CDE teaching qualifications.

Leah Thomas (Ballet, Tap and Modern)

Leah trained at the Judith Hockaday school of dance in swindon where she trained in Ballet, Tap and Modern. Leah has spent most of her life performing and is currently still active in performances in her local area.

Leah decided to train to become a dance teacher with ISTD and has been teaching for other dance schools including Swindon Acadmey of dance for a number of years now.

Leah is also studying to complete her FDI and CDE teaching qualifications.

Melissa Carter (Hip-Hop and Cheerleading)

Melissa became interested in Performing Arts after taking Drama for GCSE, this inspired her to take on further training outside of school and she went on to study dance at Bath Spa university.

Melissa then joined the Rapids Cheerleading squad, who competed in many competitions and came 2nd in the British Cheerleading Association (BCA) competition.

Whilst studying for her dance degree, Melissa also taught several Hip-hop classes for both schools and colleges, including teaching at Worcester Performing Arts College.

Melissa has choreographed many award winning dance pieces and is currently studying with the BCA to complete her teaching qualifications.

Anya Wood (Adult Classes and Musical Theatre)

 Anya trained at the Jill Woods dance school (which later turned into Stapleton school of dance) studying Ballet from the age of 3. She went onto train in other forms of Performing arts such as Drama, Singing, Musical Theatre and other styles of dance.

Once Anya had completed her exams, she decided to train to become a Dance teacher and has been studying with the British Ballet Organisation (BBO).

Anya has taught at other schools in the area, and will be teaching the Adult dance classes, such as Dancercise, Beginner Ballet, Advanced Ballet, Over 19s Ballet as well as the Musical Theatre classes for Children.

 

Joy-Amy Wigman (Drama, Musical Theatre and Comedy)

Joy-Amy trained at the London school of Musical Theatre. She went on to perform in various productions such as off the cuff comedy show, Edith in Blithe Spirit where she toured Nationally, she has also written and performed a series for BBC radio Gloucestershire.

Joy-Amy has been teaching freelance Drama for several years and will be leading our Drama classes for children as well as comedy workshops.

 

 Jon Morgan (Drama and Youth Theatre)                                

   Jon trained in Theatre acting at Drama school in Bristol. He then went on to perform in musical theatre national tours as well as TV and Film roles. For the past two years Jon has been working for the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury and leading Drama workshops across Gloucestershire. Jon will be teaching drama and Youth Theatre for Centre Stage. 

Hayon Sinclair (Salsa)      

 Hayon is a salsa Instructor, DJ and promoter of Salsa events. He has been dancing and teaching for many years, he created Salsaflex in 2005 providing high quality Salsa tuition through-out Gloucestershire.

 Hayon trained in London at Expressions studios, and will be offering classes on a Monday from 7.45-8.45 but can also teach private classes at your request.
